Meet Mrs. Kristie Abba
As the Reading Resource Teacher at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Regional Catholic School, I help students who are in need of additional assistance in reading and math. It’s wonderful to see the students grow academically, socially, and spiritually!
Originally, I am from Ste. Marie, Illinois. I moved to Carbondale to attend Southern Illinois University, and earn a Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education. I taught school at Unity Point in Carbondale for seven years as the 3rd & 4th grade resource teacher.
My husband Mike and I have a son, named Nathan, who attended OLMC School. Currently, he is a junior at Herrin High School.
I enjoy spending time with family and friends, traveling, watching sports, and working in the yard. I feel very blessed to have the opportunity to work with the students at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Regional Catholic School!
