Curriculum

curriculum

A challenging and broad-based curriculum help make OLMC special, by realizing that a child's development varies greatly between pre-school and middle school.  Therefore, the social and academic needs of students are adjusted to be accordingly at different stages.  The needs of each student will be met regardless of class size through classroom and Response To Intervention (RTI) Testing.  Student strengths and weaknesses will be determined and addressed in a variety of strategies including parent involvement.

This rigorous and time-tested curriculum meets or exceeds the standards established by the  Illinois State Board of Education in each subject and grade.  Diocesan guidelines ensure a strong religious education program.  We intend each student to reach his or her highest potential and to better equip each student for the next stage of his or her journey in education.

Curriculum is examined annually for the upcoming school year.  Report cards are issued quarterly according to Diocesan policy, in addition to mid-quarter reports.  Grades K-2 receive Standards Based Assessment and grades 3-8 receive letter grades.  To view the full curriculum program and its specific goals, please click on a grade listed below:
